Hunter Kitty Power began with a rescue cat and two people who started paying attention.

Hunter wasn't trying to teach us anything. He was simply living his life—finding the warmest patch of sunlight, asking for affection, sleeping when he was tired, and beginning each day apparently unconcerned with whatever happened the day before.

We started noticing.

Somewhere along the way, the things we loved about the way Hunter moved through the world began to look less like quirks of a beloved cat and more like reminders of how we wanted to live ourselves.

Hunter Kitty Power grew from that noticing.

It is a collection of photographs, observations, essays, and small lessons about presence, pleasure, connection, curiosity, and the surprisingly difficult art of letting a moment be enough.

We don't believe Hunter has figured out the meaning of life.

But we're no longer entirely certain he hasn't.
